Sarah flying her kite

There is so much to do at the beach....dig in the sand with your buckets, walk in the stream, and ..of course....keep your kite flying!

Sarah's flew beautifully the whole time. What fun!

Enjoying crafting together with Anna

Grandma was actually the one teaching Sarah to knit, but Sarah was enjoying sharing a crafting moment with Anna as Anna was putting the finishing touches on her quilt binding. (Oceanside this past December).

It's SO nice to be held

One of the great things about being a kid is that people hug you more and they give you kisses and they hold you. It's nice to be held!

Sarah thinking about beach

Sarah and Brent at the beach

This was fun at the beach. Brent and I were trying to make sand castles, but the waves kept on going over our castles.

When we went to visit An-na, we stopped at a beach on the Columbia River. I want to go back soon.

another conquest of Sarah's

Here is another animal that likes being with Sarah!

love,
Aunt Bev (and Tessa)

Sarah and Cheddar

I loved Cheddar. She is cute. This reminds me when Sassy came up to me and opened her eyes wide. Sassy is this black cat that we had fostered before we got Cheddar, Mr. Cuddles and Hestia (the mom).

Cheddar and Mr. Cuddles got a good home together and they also found a good home for Hestia.

Cheddar and Mr. Cuddles are now known as Gunnen and Lucy. I also like Mr. Cuddles.

And...Hestia.

Sarah with Uncle Don and Aunt Bev

"Alone we can do so little,
together we can do so much. "
Helen Keller
There is a lot of attention paid to parents and their influence on children, but I am aware every day of the invaluable help extended family gives to the lives of my children. Here is Sarah with her aunt and uncle at the beach. Not enough said, but the picture says a lot!

Purple loving girl....

I remember a conversation I had with Sarah last year and she said to me....
"Aunt Bev, I really like purple, and lavender, and violet, and pink---best."
I found this old photo of Sarah (dated 2001!) and she loved PURPLE EVEN THEN!
This is my purple-loving niece!!!
XXX OOO from,
Aunt Bev

Hi Sarah!

:) Glad to see your blog!

Aunt Bev

Sarah sick 2006

I LOVE this picture and really wanted it to be on Sarah's blog. She was sick last year and running a fever, but was chilling so she was all bundled up in her coat inside the house.
Alan took her temperature and I think was surprised at how high it was! (Or maybe he was acting.

Sarah and Grandma in Leavenworth

I love this picture of Sarah and Grandma at Leavenworth, Washington. We stayed at a great KOA and had adjoining log cabins. AND we had marshamallows!
